Excerpt
Gripping the woman's wrist, Jake managed to restrain her before the weapon made impact with his head again. He shoved his upper body forward and flipped them both over.
Now this was much better. Or it would be if she'd quit squirming. Not that it was a bad sensation or anything, but he was starting to enjoy this more than the situation should allow.
With one hand free, her fingers scrabbled at the side of her. When her fingers wrapped around the torch he snatched it out of reach. He grasped her wrist and yanked both of her arms over her head, holding her captive with one much larger hand than her daintier ones.
Picking up the torch, he pointed it at the large, temple-throb causing weapon. As he read the first line on the bag he snorted in disbelief. Clearly she was a novice in the weapon department.
"A confectionery product? What the hell was that meant to be—death by chocolate?"
"God no," said the muffled, completely aghast voice from beneath her mound of hair. "I would never hit someone with chocolate."
Okay, so maybe she wasn't a threat to anyone at all. Jake released his grip a little.
"Chocolate is way too expensive to waste," she continued. "I hit you with a catering pack of marzipan."
He tightened his hold again. With her still wrestling beneath him, he decided out of fear for his man parts, it was time for some answers. Reaching out with his free hand, he brushed the silky strands from her face. She bucked beneath him like a stray cat fighting for freedom. At first he thought she was furious, but then he gazed into her green eyes and saw fear.
Although he took his work seriously—hell, sometimes caution had kept him alive—no way was he a monster. Waiting for her movements to abate he lifted his chest. In one smooth movement he traded position and surrounded her hips with his legs, trying to take away the intimate contact steering him from sound judgement, yet still stifling her leg movements with the grip of his thighs. Resting more on his knees than pressing his full weight into her, the increased gap between them gave him the perfect opportunity for another perusal of her small frame.
With her arms upstretched, her small breasts raised higher with each dragged in breath. Her shirt, trapped beneath his knees, pulled taut and had lifted to reveal her scarlet knickers and a hint of smooth, pale skin peeking above. He blinked. Maybe the glorious sight was a figment of his imagination due to his recent lack of female companionship? His gaze drew to her parted lips, open to allow the release of expended energy from her lungs. The fullness of her bottom lip was so damned tempting.
"Anytime you want to get the hell off me—please feel free."
Her sarcasm cut through his momentary lapse. One more second and he'd have been tasting her mouth.
"Tell me who you are, and why the hell you think you have a right to be on private property, and maybe I will." Just maybe.
With her fingers clenching beneath his palm, he felt the spike of her pulse at the pad of his thumb.
"Me tell you?" She blinked several times before glaring at him as though he'd just sprouted bunny ears. "I livehere!"

Author Bio
Usually found with a pen in my hand, or my head in a book, I’m a contemporary romance author who also thinks fangs and wings are a very attractive accessory.
A devourer of books from an early age, imagination was my best discovery. I spent much of my childhood stepping into wardrobes, searching for that magical snowy world where conversing with animals would be expected. When I wasn’t searching for those worlds, I wrote about them instead. My first step into the world of romance was when I stole sneak peeks into my nana’s books. I’m still in that world and I refuse to leave.
I live in Staffordshire, UK, with my husband and three wonderful children. An avid reader and writer of romance, I strongly believe that words make the world go around. I like nothing more than to be swept away by the words on a page. I hope I can sweep you away too.

Jordana Mia Lezamy - Author Exotic Racing Crusader (Exotic Racers #1)
Synopsis
EXOTIC CARS MEET A LOVE STORY

"NOTHING IN LIFE IS A COINCIDENCE"
It was my special day, an occasion to celebrate my life, when my entire future was rewritten and set on a new course with one look in his eyes.

Or was this always part of the destiny that I believed I could not run from?

As I watched him at the ILLEGAL STREET RACING SHOW I never planned on attending – I was certain of one thing about his speed and velocity behind a wheel of a car:

ONLY GOD is capable of catching him when he races.

The moment we met, there was no looking back at a past life that led me down a darkened and lonely road any longer.

Before him I had never dated anyone. Before him I lead a normal good-girl life.

With him my PLUS SIZE CURVES and unique facial features are loved and adored beyond a passionate and lustful extent

Beside him I became queen to the leader of an EXOTIC CARS RACING EMPIRE.

As fate would have it, regrets collected like old friends ready to relive both our most agonizing moments.

It’s always darkest before the dawn, but to see the sunrise, there are SEVEN words of HIS racing team pledge barricading the way at the end of the finish line:

Oath
Griffin
Blood
Hypersonic
Racers
Breakneck
League

Cauterized words onto his soul that will decide if he is either a villain or a savior.

The ultimate sacrifice of defying his most cardinal law for me must be decided by him alone.
Which will he choose?
Which will he let go of?
Which means more?

This is our journey. This is where our racing legacy with fast cars begin.

Excerpt:

PROLOGUE

“Another beer to calm the nerves?” A distant cousin who Rihaan had never the pleasure of meeting before, suggested with a knowing smirk.

This was followed by a loud burst of laughter. It was close to midnight, but the party had just begun at the usually serene Mehta abode in South Delhi. “Rihaan doesn’t need anything to cool him down. He’s going to be a full-on man tonight! Can’t afford to disappoint bhabhi, right?” This was promptly followed by another outburst of mirth.
Rihaan submitted to several friendly thumps on his back, returning them with the obligatory wry smile that could be interpreted any which way they desired. He didn’t care about their opinions.
It was true, he hadn’t let a single drop of alcohol pass through his lips. Not because he was anxious to perform well on his wedding night and impress his new wife. On the contrary, he wanted to keep all his faculties intact so he could confirm the suspicion that had been gnawing at his brain ever since the wedding ceremony. And with each moment that passed, his unease had grown steadily.
Unable to bide his time any longer, he stood up and went toward his room paying no heed to the numerous whistles and catcalls that followed in his wake.
Thrusting the door wide open he strode toward the marital bed. It was bare except for his bride’s wedding finery that lay in a neat pile in one corner. His heart now thudding at a frantic pace inside his chest, he scanned the vicinity, fervently hoping his concerns were for nothing.
He approached the wide open balcony door, and his pulse slowed down slightly. Perhaps he’d just been imagining it all?
A girl stood there leaning against the railing, her face upturned toward the full moon. On hearing him approach, she turned around. “Finally! I’ve been waiting like forever!”
He frowned, straining to decipher her features obscured by deep shadow. “Deepika?”
“Naa…, not Deepika.” She stepped forward into the light, a bright smile illuminating her strikingly graceful features.
His heart sank. Not Deepika.
“I am Naina—the girl you married. Goodbye, Rihaan.”

Meet Aberdeen from 'Garden' by Jane Yates

How difficult was it to settle down on earth and adjust to the life here?
It was pretty hard, everything was new to me and I was used to my guardian robot that looked after me. But I found Earth better than that halfway station. I think that was the lowest point in my life.
There were some really good things. I was excited to see my first bio-dome close up, and snow. Oh snow was the most wonderful thing ever. I got to make my first ever friend and felt close to a relative for the first time ever.

Have you discovered the wonderful world of books on earth? So who are you favorite authors so far?
Oh yes, my cousin Lenard has a whole bedroom full of wonderful books. I like the books with pictures in best and the gardening books, of course.
However my friend Maisy introduced me to the chapter machine, which stores all types of stories and facts.
There are lots of new stories in the books and on the machine, but the stories I like best are dragon ones, and Maisy makes up the best once of those.
Once, she made up a story about a tiger, which was like nothing I had ever heard before. Another time there was one about a flying fish and a girl locked in a tower. Maisy really is the best.

Have you discovered movies? Which actor do you drool for?
Boys are smelly.

What is your favorite place here?
I have discovered a secret garden on my uncle’s land and it is filled with the most amazing plants, a maze and orrery - and a far greater secret, which I can’t tell you about, as it’s a secret.

Tell us about Maisy, Peter and Lenard.
Maisy is my best friend, she is so kind, and at first I was worried she was going to be like all the other girls I had met at school and on the halfway station. At school, the other girls teased me, so I hit them hard, that shut them up, but I got sent back home. My mother was not pleased. At the halfway station the children teased me there. So I was worried at first about Maisy, but she was always nice.
Peter OMG! He is the cleverest boy I know. He can build things out of just about anything. He can talk to robots, even the ones he did not build. He knows the secrets of their coding. Plus, he knows all about plants and nature.
Lenard, my dear sweet Lenard. I have to say he grew on me. I was angry with him at first. I guess he was as spoilt as me, then I felt sorry for him. Then I was proud of him, and respected him too. The way he tried to walk the long way down the corridor under the house. It was scary and full of spider webs and felt like there was no air. I was staggering. But he was a real solider about it.

Tell us about your author Jane Yates!
I have never met her, but I have heard that she is a dyslexic like Maisy and peter. I hear she paints also and had two spaniels. Maybe I will invite her to my secret garden to have tea with Maisy and the boys one day, I’m sure she would come. I hear she has a weakness for tea and cake!

Are you happy with the way you and your life shaped up? Or do you have a bone to pick with Jane?
I think from day one Jane understood me. She realised that I had felt unloved and unwanted by my parents and that I felt like I did not fit in the world.
Jane did not chastise me about not feeling grief when they died. She understood that my coldness was just a protective shell.  I had to learn to trust and make friends. Garden has been a path of self-discovery.  All in all, I think she understood me, only one thing I would have changed is that I wish Jane had written me firing a bow and arrow. Maisy talked about them in her stories and I would have loved to have tried that. Oh well, I will be still sat here in the garden, if Jane ever wants to come back and write that be for me.

Garden - ART

Jane is a lover of steampunk, adventure and children’s stories, which often play a huge role in her own books.

home. Now, on the eve of their daughter’s birth, they’re counting their blessings. Life wasn’t always so generous . . .

Fifteen years ago, seventeen-year-old Blake Voss walked into Cranbrook Preparatory High to participate in the school year’s most-prestigious debate competition. She never expected to fall for the pretentious, golden-haired boy on the opposing debate team, and he never expected to be ensnared by the quick-witted prankster with a heart of gold.

Their mutual love for joking pretense soon leads them to pull their biggest prank yet--pretending to be in love. But when danger threatens, Hudson can’t conceal his growing affection. He’ll do anything to be with Blake, even if it means risking his heart to protect her.

Ten years later, Ace is handed another crippling challenge that threatens everything in her almost perfect life. Only, this time, she doesn't turn to Heath, hiding the truth instead. But Heath knows Ace too well and won't back down easily. He's ready to do whatever it takes and will stay by her side until she accepts that their love is the kinda love worth fighting for.

Will he be her forever triumph or her unexpected downfall?

Two lives.

One story.

And an unexpected journey to falling in love.
