Excerpts from stories in All of Me:

1

She felt a small tumble in her heart. They were huge men with enormous moustache and bushy eyebrows. The flared nostrils and the bulging eyes made them look formidable. Add the huge well-oiled canes and they were renditions of modern day Ravana. She gulped and took her leave promising to do her bit when Daman returned.
Janaki was having second thoughts by the time the day dawned. She went about doing her chores trying to act normal only to be pursued by a gnawing guilt. Daman arrived by late afternoon and so did Sarita’s goons. They took position right outside her window. All of a sudden all her instincts nudged her to take a pause. What was she thinking? She couldn’t forsake her loyalty to her husband irrespective of what he had done. All she ever wanted was to lead a tranquil life, not some political sham.

2

She liked her job. It was good. Brought in quick money. Left her enough hours for cramming her boring science papers. What else can one expect? There were quite a few perks too. Posh parties where cocktails, five star food and good contacts flowed uninterruptedly not necessarily in the same order. Whatever. It was fun.
Okay it wasn’t a job to be proud of she agreed. But she wasn’t ashamed of what she did. Still it was a put-outer when people shriveled their nose after learning about her profession. As if she reeked! So she didn’t advertise her work much. Clients came in on their own. She had a reputation. Word of mouth was her advertisement.
Namita was one of the best. A little pricey but satisfaction guaranteed. Naturally her clientele list included only a handful. She liked to stick to her regulars. Knowing each other intimately created a comfort zone which she thought was essential. Mutual enjoyment was her mantra. She diligently noted their likes and specially their dislikes. Their preferences for toys. The usual.
It was a little tricky with the fly-by-night customers. It usually meant a day call. She preferred evenings. If the money was good she accepted. But she didn’t compromise with her three-days-a-night policy. In such situations Namita ditched one of her regulars by calling in sick. A little ditching was healthy especially since her work was so damn physically tiring. She only accepted them after seeing their medical certificates. It irked some but she never budged. She didn’t want to pickup something nasty from them. If they wanted her it was on her terms.

Book Review: Half a Shadow by Anurag Shourie

Title: Half a Shadow
Author: Anurag Shourie
Publisher: Inkhorn Publishing

Review:

In Half A Shadow, Anurag Shourie investigates the power and perils of the medical world in a consistently absorbing narrative.
In the city of lakes, Udaipur, when three dead bodies turn up at different locales but within a very short period of time, it leaves the investigators wondering: were these instances of accident or murder. The unrelated victims – a young businessman, a beautiful bride and a famous doctor – share a common connection. They had gone to the same nursing home before they died abruptly. Vijay Raj, the chief investigator helped by his nephew Aditya Deshmukh, covers most of the investigatory components, which ultimately bring to light the gloriously elaborate connections to the death. A week is all it takes for the otherwise tranquil city to get caught up in a mayhem that is a result of greed and power play. In order to redeem himself and to solve the murders, Aditya sets out to find the missing links between Abraham and Sarasvati, Abhimanyu and Sumitra, Yasser Arafat and Vladimir Putin. The body count continues to rise as he gropes in the darkness for answers only he can find. A ruthless Suvasini is somehow related to his past and to his present. Surrounded by her flunkeys, she is all set to wreck havoc in the lives of the doctors that work under her. The hunter, Kanti lal Johri, is reduced to a prey and watches helplessly as his life, instead of falling into place, falls into pieces.
The setting of the story feels vertiginous and shiny, but this lushness is described in matter-of-fact observance. Medical procedures and facts are described in details. A lot of hard work and research has gone into the making of this novel and it is evident in the way the story unfolds. Anurag Shourie has indeed penned a medical saga that packs a sizable number of plot twists and characters without getting tangled.

Determined to make a new start, Carrie leaves Texas and heads to Palm Beach to pick up the pieces of her shattered and broken life. The last thing she expects is to find herself attracted to her first client at her new job—Brad Larson, who has proven himself time and time again to be cad. Excerpt:

“Carrie Newman?” he asked in an über-sexy Australian accent. Her toes curled at the sound of his voice. He reached out his hand and said, “I’m Oliver. Jane sent me over to help you unpack your boxes.” Whether it was the Florida sun or the handsome man who stood in front of her that hit her like a heat wave, she blinked a few times more, and shook his masculine hand. “Thank you for coming, but I can manage. There are only a few of them anyway.” She pointed to her tightly packed car. “I don’t mind.” Oliver smiled and clasped his hands, his voice sounding eager and more than ready to help. I certainly could use your help in more ways than one, she thought to herself, calculating that it had been quite a while since she’d last had sex, which was way too long in her opinion. Shaking naughty thoughts away, Carrie regained her composure. “Thank you. I’d certainly appreciate your assistance.” She turned toward her car and pressed the unlock button, and then he took the lead. Between telling him which room to put the boxes in and passing one another between entranceways, Carrie tried to ignore Oliver’s flirtatious smile and the dimples indented in his cheeks. Finally, they unpacked the last two boxes from the car, leading them to meet in the kitchen. “Is there anything else I can help you with?” “No, but thank you for coming.” She observed sweat beading the sides of his forehead. “Can I get you some water? I think I have another bottle in the cooler.” She pointed to the cooler Sara had packed for her. He wiped the sweat off with his forearm. “No, I’m okay. Thanks, though.” “Okay.” She looked around her kitchen and awkward silence filled the room. “Would you like to come to Nick & Johnnie’s tonight? I’m working as a bartender there, and I’d love to buy you a drink.” Carrie blushed and bowed her head. “I’d love to, but I’m kind of tired,” she lied as his face turned somber. “But maybe soon,” she added, giving him a polite grin. Oliver beamed. “Wonderful! I look forward to seeing you again.” With one last glance in her direction, he reached into his wallet, pulled out a card, and handed it to her. “Call me if you need anything else. I work full time for Moving Waves, but call anytime—even if you need a handyman—I do it all.” She wanted to say, “I’m sure you do,” but kept quiet. Shaking her head once again at the dirty thoughts that swam back into her mind, she took his card and smiled at him. “You’ll be hearing from me if I need anything.” She followed him out the door and watched him get into the truck. “Goodbye,” he said after rolling down the window. “Bye,” Carrie said quietly as she waved her hand in the warm air.

Blog Tour: Falling for You Series by Danielle Lee Zwissler

Author Danielle Lee Zwissler brings you her new complete series of
New Adult Romance!
The Falling for You series will make you laugh out loud!
Get ready to swoon!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE BOOKS—

The Boy Next Door-
"One of the cutest romances of the year!" - That Look of Love Romance Review
"Danielle has done it again!  She knows how to write a truly lovely romance!" - Books, Reviews and More
5 stars! Reviewed by Jack Magnus for Readers' Favorite

The Boy Next Door: Falling for You, Book 1 is a young adult coming of age novel written by Danielle Lee Zwissler. Keri was looking forward to a relaxed morning in her dorm room, watching a favorite show and eating chocolate chip cookies, when her roommate interrupted her viewing to tell her that her mom was calling. Keri and her mom spoke on the phone a lot, so it was no big deal and something Keri decided to put off until later, but then she heard the change in Alexis' voice, and, her heart thudding, she picked up the receiver. Her dad had had a heart attack, and, no, he hadn't died, but was in surgery. Her mom needed her and her twin brothers to come home and be with her. Keri had an unused emergency credit card her parents had given her when she left for school, and she and Alexis quickly threw together just enough gear for the trip. Before she knew it, she was on the plane going home to Texas, and when she got there, her best friend, Payton, was waiting at the airport for her. He seemed different somehow, despite the fact that they had grown up together and been virtually inseparable until she went away to school. That different quality tugged at her subconscious even as she fought her emotions on the way to the hospital to see her dad.

Danielle Lee Zwissler's young adult coming of age novel, The Boy Next Door: Falling for You, Book 1, is a relatively short novel that wraps the reader up in a warm and quite irresistible tale of first kisses and best friends exploring new emotions and feelings for each other. Within the first few pages, I found myself happily immersed in Keri and Payton's world. Zwissler admits in her introduction that there was never a boy next door in her life, since she grew up in the country miles from the nearest neighbor, but despite that fact, she gets it. Her plot is fresh and authentic. The juxtaposing of Keri's home life and school experiences is deftly handled in this finely plotted and beautifully written book. While this book is geared toward a young adult audience, I wouldn't hesitate to also recommend it to those very fortunate adult readers who have remained young at heart. The Boy Next Door: Falling for You, Book 1 is most highly recommended.

"The Boy Next Door" is a cute novella written by the very talented queen of romance, the lovely Danielle Lee Zwissler.
The first book of the trilogy introduces the readers to Keri and Payton and their struggle to transform their friendship into a relationship. Even though they have been best friends until now, it quickly turns out it's not an easy transition from friendship to love and it does require new skills the main characters have to learn; dealing with distance, yearning, learning to trust each other, patience, and so on, and so forth... And all this in the shadow of Keri's personal drama, which initiates the whole story.
I must admit that even though I do not read this genre on a regular basis, I always find Danielle's work charming, cute, and straightforward. I enjoyed "The Boy Next Door" and I am waiting for parts 2 and 3. :-)

This is a beautiful story of young love. Danielle perfectly captured Keri's innocent approach to life, love, and loss that is certain to stir up nostalgic feelings about it's reader's own " boy next door". I am looking forward to the next installment in July of 2015!

I couldn't put it down! Loved every moment of the book. Now I can't wait to start the next book I'm so excited. Amazing job Danielle!!!

By Amazon Customer --This isn't a whole book. There's a beginning and a middle, but it abruptly cuts off without an end, expecting you to move on to book 2. The writing was cute, Peyton was great.

The Boy I Love –

"Even better than the first installment!" - That Look of Love Romance Review

By Robyn on February 17, 2016
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
The second part of the trilogy starts exactly where the first volume ends and gives us more details about Keri and Payton's uneasy, but passionate relationship. They need to deal with new challenges, big changes in their lives, and find a way compromise between their feelings and the uneasy conditions under which their love is shyly blossoming.
Once again Danielle Lee Zwissler takes her readers to the wonderful world of love, drama, and passion, in the way only she can do it.
I cannot wait to see how the whole story wraps up in the upcoming third book.

By tascha deets on April 28, 2016
Absolutely loved it! Inching closer to the edge of my seat reading these books. I can't wait to start the third book, it has been so up and down it’s exciting to see what happens next. Love your work Danielle!!

The Man I’ll Marry-

By Robyn on May 1, 2016
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
The third book in the series takes off at exactly the same place where book two finished with Keri and Payton relationship, due to countless misunderstanding and wrong decisions, shattered Keri comes back home and faces the consequences of her mistakes; the tree house is gone and Payton is a new relationship and doesn't want to know her.
Book three is, in my opinion, the best one in the series. It deals with growing up, maturing, with realizing what a person really wants and needs. It's a cute young adult romance novel which is fun to read and makes you want to cross your fingers for book four to hopefully one day be written and published.

I loved the emotional ups and downs in this book. The love and passion that they shared you could feel throughout each of your books. A job well accomplished Danielle. If you want a good book series to read I would advise hitting the buy button on this one and the other two!
